  Sampson County, NC Will of William Johnson Undated In the name of God Amen, I William Johnson of the County of Sampson in the State of North Carolina being in health and of perfect mind and memory do make and ordain the following as my last will and testament. First I give to my wife Betsey Johnson the plantation whereon I live for and during her life or widowhood. 2nd I give to my two sons Allen Johnson and Taylor Johnson the whole of my land except what is lately give away by deed after my wifes death. 3rd I give to my wife Betsey one third part of my cattle during her life and afterwards to be divided between my four sons George Allen William and Taylor Johnson. 4th I give the remaining two thirds of my stock of cattle to my three daughters Dorcas Nancy and Betsy Johnson. 5th I leave my two horses to my wife and my four sons above mentioned. 6th I give my household furniture to my wife during her life and afterwards to my three daughters above mentioned. 7th I give to my granddaughters Molcy Chappell Johnson and Nancy Jean Fryer the sum of ten dollars each to be payd out of my estate by my executors. 8th I give to my sons Nathan Johnson and Joel Johnson and John Fryer the sum of six pence apiece what__ I die possessd of not mentioned above, I give to my wife Betsey and my four youngest sons after this legacys above mentioned are pay'd. I appoint my wife Betsy and my son Joab Johnson executor of this will and do revoke all others.
