  In the name of God Amen. I Byus Boykin of the County of Sampson and State of North Carolina being of Sound mind and Memory blessed be God do this Eighteenth day of September in the year of our lord One Thousand eight hundred and Twelve and in the Thirty Sixthy & Seventh year of American Independance Make Ordain and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner Following that is to say First I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah Boykin During her Natural life my Plantation where on I now live and land as far as the green Spring and from thence to the far landing also four Negrows to wit Pompy Dick Jade & Dinah one feather bed and furniture one Roding part unreadable China two Cows unreadable & figs ? six ewes & lambs one yoke of Ox one Cart a Sufficcency of working tools and one years provision and at hir deceas if all the perishable property to be Equally Divided between my five Children to wit Thomas John Soloman Nancy & Jeancy Boykin Secondly I give and bequeath to my beloved son Thomas Boykin all the money which I have from unreadable purchase the plan taken thereof for the land said Thomas Boykin now lives I also give and bequeath to my son Thos Boykin two negrows to wit Pat & Cherry one Feather bed and firniture and one Cow and Calf to him his heirs & assigns forever Thirdly I give and bequeath to my two beloved sons John and Soloman Boykin all the resedue Resedue of my lands Divideing by the Run of Cohera except the Oake Island track which is to beling to the land the west side of Cohera with two Hundred and fifty dollard to be aded to the land on the west side of Choera the aforesaid lands to be divided by Existing lots between the said John & Soloman Boykin I also give and bequeath to my son John Boykin two Negrows by the name of Sam and Bob one feather bed and its firniture & two Cows & Calves to him his heirs and assigns for ever I also give and bequeath to my son Soloman Boykin two Nigrow boys by the name Isham and Jim one Horse bridle and Saddle one feather bed and furniture and two Cows & Calves to him his heirs assigns forever Fourthly I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Nancy Boykin three Negrows to wit Hannah Rachel & Grace one bay Horse Colt Saddle and bridle one feather bed an furniture and two Cows and Calves to her her heirs and assigns forever Fifthly I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Jeancy Boykin three negrows in the name of Mary ? Rhoda & Daniel one Sorrel horse Colt one bridle and Saddle one feather bed and firniture and two Cows and Calves to hir hir hiers and assigns forever Sixthly after my Daughter Jeancy becomes of age thin the Resedue of my Negrows to be equally Divided betwen my five Children to wit Thos John Soloman Nancy and Jeancy Boykin and the Resedue of my Stock Cattle hogs and Sheep to be sold and the money equally Divided between my wife and the aforsaid five Children - - And I hereby make and ordain my two sons Thomas and John Boykin Executors to this my last will and Testament In witness whereof I the said Byus Boykin have to this my last will and Testament set my Hand and Seal the day and year above written Signed Sealed published & declared by the Said Byus Boykin ? as his last will & Testament In the pricence of us who were present at the Signing and Sealing therof Byus Boykin (Seal) John Herring Lott Riche Mary Riche This will is not to be copied and posted on any other site!
