The following is a complete listing of the tombstones in the Bannerman Cemetery in Sampson County, NC.
Location near Kerr (a small, unincorporated town) in Sampson County, NC. The cemetery is about 1/2 mile from the South River, approximately three miles southwest of Harmony Presbyterian Church.
It is on private property and permission MUST be granted to go to the cemetery. The property is no longer owned by the Shaw or Bannerman families, but the current owner makes an effort to maintain the cemetery.
The cemetery is enclosed by a low cement block fence, called a "poor man's wall." There was once a gate.
There are five stones. They are almost unreadable due to erosion. There are at least ten sites without stones.
